Kongen Marina is not just a regular restaurant, we thrive to make it an experience. Our overall goal is to make Kongen Marina the ultimate place to visit, what we like to call the Kongen Marina Village. Today, the Kongen Marina village consist of several departments, that are closely knitted together. We have a Beach Club & Restaurant, Kitchen, Café, Boat Store & Petrol station, Watersport rental, floating Sauna and the Marina with seasonal Boat berth, Guest berth and several "House" boats. This complete combination makes this an oasis where our guests can get the feeling of vacation in the port of Oslo.

At Kongen Marina our employees is the most important factor for success. We sincerely believe that if we create a good work environment, a happy team that we consider family, then it will reflect positively on our quests. "There are a lot of factors that make Kongen Marina a great place to work. Firstly, Kongen Marina is situated in the Oslo harbour right next to the seafront. The view is beautiful and its an amazing place during warm summer days. Secondly, the work environment at kongen is like no place I have ever worked, they are all really welcoming and are easy to work with. From top management all the way down to the part-time workers people tend to be really happy when they are at work. This is one of the main reasons I always get drawn to Kongen when summer is closing in, and one of the reasons I have been working here for such a long time. Thirdly, at Kongen Marina there are always a lot of fun projects and always something to do. It doesnt matter if you work as a bartender or as an employee at the boat shop, there are no boring days. its funny that you ask! Each job advertisement states when you can expect a response. At Kongen Marina it usually does not take more than a week. However, it depends a bit on the type of job, and we process applications continuously. Sometimes it takes time to find the right match. Contact us in the chat if you think it has taken too long!

It varies depending on the role. Normally, we operate with the following recruitment process: application, telephone interview, or personal interview, then we have one trial day. During the trial day you will be tested in several positions at Kongen Marina, of course at this stage you are getting payed. After this day if we are both happy you will receive a job offer.

About Kongen Marina
Rolf and Stephen started working on the project known today as Kongen Marina in 2012, back then it was no more than a shop and a small petrol station. Today it has become a local destination. They had a dream, and every year they strive to perfect what they envisioned 10 years ago. Every year when the snow starts melting and people feel the urge to go out to enjoy a beer outside again, Kongen Marina is there to welcome you. Every year they manage to find a new fan favorite, last year was the one-of-a-kind Sauna. Night after night you´ll see Kongen Marina festively light up the Oslo port in a firework of colors, DJ´s playing their favorite songs and a lot of happy people having the best of times. If you ever decide to drop by, we can guarantee you that you would like to come back.
